Temporary road closure - Lambeth High Street

There will be a temporary road closure on Lambeth High Street between Lambeth Road and Old Paradise Street, starting on 25th June 2016 and lasting for up to a month (although it is thought the works should be completed by 26th June 2016).

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable works including a crane operation to be carried out in connection with a redevelopment site, the Council of the London Borough of Lambeth intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily ban vehicles from entering that length of Lambeth High Street which lies between Lambeth Road and Old Paradise Street.

2. Alternative routes are available for vehicles not exceeding 14 feet 6 inches in height via Lambeth Road, Lambeth Walk and Old Paradise Street and for all vehicles via Lambeth Road, Albert Embankment, Black Prince Road and Lambeth High Street and vice versa.

3. The road closure would only apply at such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by the placing of the appropriate traffic signs.

4. The Order would come into force on 25th June 2016 and it would continue for a maximum duration of 1 month or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.  It is anticipated that in practice the Order would only have effect on 25th and 26th June 2016 but if the works cannot be completed during that time then the Order may have effect on other days during the maximum duration of 1 month.

Dated 10th June 2016
