LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Trans) History Month in Prince's Ward

Celebrate Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) History Month by supporting the Royal Vauxhall Tavern (RVT) - not only is it South London's oldest surviving gay venue but it is also the the first building to be listed in recognition of its importance to LGBT community history.

Prince's Councillors were actively involved in helping to save the RVT from development by supporting the successful campaign to have it is listed as a heritage asset by Historic England (formerly English Heritage).

One of the ways you can show your support for the RVT is to go along to a showing of a new musical called 'Royal Vauxhall' about the night Diana Princess of Wales came to the pub with Freddie Mercury and Kenny Everett! See the Vauxhall Tavern website for more details and to book tickets.

February celebrates LGBT History Month, which aims to promote equality and diversity for the benefit of the public. For more info visit lgbthistorymonth.org.uk
